This panoramic photo was shot at a night event lighting stone lanterns with candles only for two hours in a year. Here is a graveyard of the Ikeda family which was the domain lord of those days. This place is for about 300 years old from Edo era. It is maintained and opened to visitors as a historical site. You can see 78 graves and many stone lanterns. The most unique point of this place is that the base stone of the grave is shaped into a turtle. This turtle design came from China and it is rare in Japan. IKEDA Clan Graveyard is opened all the day, no entrance fee needed, accessible by a bus from Tottori train station. <Below is a description in Japanese.> 池田家墓所燈籠会 このパノラマは、池田家墓所燈籠会（とうろうえ）という、年に1度たった2時間だけ灯籠に蝋燭の火を入れるイベントの夜に撮りました。 ここは鳥取藩主であった池田家の墓地で、江戸時代から約300年ほどの歴史があります。今は史跡として観光スポットになっていて、78基の墓碑とたくさんの石灯籠を見ることができます。この墓所の一番ユニークな点は、墓標の台が亀の形をしていることでしょう。この「亀趺円頭（きふえんとう）墓碑」と呼ばれる亀型のお墓デザインは中国から伝わったそうで、日本では珍しいものです。 池田墓地は入場無料、常時オープン、鳥取駅からはバスでも訪れることができます。
