Some roads just cross each other, others are given some carefully designed enhancements and consideration. This crossroad used to be just another ugly intersection, traffic lights and all, until quite recently. (Google Earth still shows the old crossroad satellite photos when this is published). The improvements are significant, and the number of accidents are reduced - and it looks better.
