The panorama shows the town centre of Letchworth Garden City after a recently completed £8M makeover. The road layout where several roads meet near the central railway station has been revised, and bright new paving stones have been extensively laid. Three modern sculptures with fountains have been added—apparently inspired by a processional banner from 1909. Down below in the panorama is a small engraved paving stone that is easily overlooked. The text reads:
