Crystal Palace Concert Platform resides in an area of Crystal Palace Park known as "The Bowl" and is used to host outdoor concerts including the free Bowl Festival. The platform is 25 metres wide and capable of holding a full symphony orchestra with choir.

The platform and orchestral shell were designed by Ian Ritchie Architects to be robust, resistant to vandalism, economic and require low maintenance. The outside surface is made from Cor-Ten Steel which naturally protects itself by oxidisation.

The shell includes a LARES acoustic enhancement system with 32 full range loudspeakers and two 9-metre-high speaker towers. The first concert performance took place in August 1997.
