Hudson Mohawke is a young Scottish hip hop producer who's been making waves over the last few years. An impeccable background as a DMC finalist, a key member of the LuckyMe collective, a steady flow of killer tracks and remixes, and a signing to one of the most influential electronic music labels in the world, Warp Records, have all built up expectations for Hud Mo's forthcoming album, "Butter."

This is Hudson Mohawke in full flow, midway through a live performance of his album, in front of a large crowd in Sheffield for the home leg of Warp's 20th birthday celebrations. I shot this as part of a series of panoramas over the weekend when Warp Records moved back to their northern roots in the "Steel City". More than any other, this shot summed up the notion of performance to me: the artist on stage; lighting, sound and AV technicians sidestage; photographers in the photo pit; and the audience beyond.
