The last war Sweden was involved in was in 1809. Sweden lost against Russia, and peace treaty was signed. Finland gained its independence from Sweden.

September 19, 2009, Stockholm, Gärdet. Participants from Sweden, Finland and Russia recreate one of the last battles originally in the north of Sweden.

The camera was close to the Swedish field artillery firing from a hill, Russian troops visible in the distance, some Cossack battallions behind the Russian gun smoke ...
