The Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. Site of the proclamation of the Philippine Independence by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, first president of the Republic in June 12, 1898.

The official flag of the Philippines, accompanied by the national anthem was first played together on the balcony of Aguinaldo's ancestral house.

The house is now a museum/shrine under the care of the National Historical Institute.
