Martin Kasper, my workshop neighbor, uses pure pigments to mix his colors. Pure pigments probably are the most intense, most saturated (passive) colors we can get, and before there were synthetic pigments some of these were literally worth their weight in gold.
His painting technique, with hide glue and pigments, has created a nice landscape of colors on the trolley he has used as a palette over the years.

I'm grateful he agreed to this shooting since for my other idea - an autumn colored vineyard in Kaiserstuhl - the shooting date was too early.
