Hunua Range is one of a number of regional parks around Auckland. Usually there are few people here even on weekends. They come here for walking, tramping, mountain biking, fishing and camping. But the main attraction here is a waterfall.
The day when I took this panorama was almost the first fine day after 3 months of winter rains. Many people came to the park to admire Hunua Falls, to have BBQ, to enjoy the clear sky and rejoice in the warm spring sun.
When you look around (see the panorama) you get wise why do people call New Zealand a "clean and green" country. Lawns, meadows, rain forests and bushes are everywhere. That is why green color is an uncoined icon of New Zealand.
