I had to look up the word in a dictionary: sustenance - "something that gives support, endurance, or strength" Accidentally I met Elvis the splashdiver - a few meters above a local open air bath close to my hometown. He was up there to set a new world record in jumping a cannonball. In fact Elvis is the official splashdiving world champion and on this day he exceeded his own record and jumped down from a height of 27 Meters above the waterline - crazy guy. Obviously diving is something very important to him, something giving strength and support. There must be a good reason to jump from a 27 Meter crane!
