Kansas City's Crown Center is an urban office, hotel, and retail complex anchored by the corporate offices of Hallmark Cards to the east, and the Crown Center Shops to the west. I am an on-call photo retoucher at Hallmark, and like many other people who work in the area, I find that a bit of time in CC's sycamore-lined courtyard, away from the job, provides neccessary sustenance for mental health!
It's great to come out here when the weather is good, sit and eat your lunch and just breath some fresh air. I often just take a walk through the complex, which includes a series of elevated glass walkways, which connect the hotels, offices and shopping areas. The walkway, called "The Link" connects ultimately to the renovated Union Station, which houses a science museum and a few good restaurants.
