This is the Bay Trail that use to ride to work most days (please forgive the flower pants, I was in a rush). It's 7 miles for me to ride to Emeryville where I put together maps for Avalon Travel.
I usually see quite a few people on the trail in the morning and the afternoon. The plan is to completely encircle the bay shoreline with 400 miles of biking and hiking trails. The network will encompass San Francisco as well as San Pablo Bays and go through 9 counties and across several toll bridges. Currently there are 240 miles in use.
One of the reasons Landis and I moved to Richmond from Petaluma was so that I could ride to work. I now get to sleep past 5:00 am, a wonderful thing, and some days Landis joins me on the trail for his ride into Berkeley. What fun!
