This panorama event came when East Texas was preparing for a massive display of nature's energy. Luckily, a lot of that energy was lost by the time it got up to my house. Still, an incredible amount of force is necessary to split a tree in two different directions, as happened here. On 20 acres of woods, 23 trees were felled by the storm, several of which are visible in this lakeside photograph.
Equipment
Nikon D100, 20MM 2.8, PTMac 3.1Beta, nona, enblend, Mac G5 Dual 1.8
