The Richmond Bridge was built in 1823-25 by convict labour to link Hobart to the penal settlement of Port Arthur. It is the oldest road bridge in Australia.

Richmond is a beautiful village with many historic buildings, boutique accomodation and serene scenery. It is located 30 minutes drive from Hobart, the capital of Tasmania.
