Waddesdon Manor is a National Trust property located near Aylesbury. This Renaissance-style château was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to display his outstanding collection of art treasures and to entertain the fashionable world. You might spot a few items of contemporary sculpture here and there - some of the 32 pieces scattered widely in a summer exhibition. The day dawned promisingly with blue skies but alas had clouded over by the time I arrived. Hence the rather flat lighting conditions.
