My cousin, Amanda, plans a trip to the beach from her home in the Central Valley for her birthday every year. With temperatures at home very recently over 100°F (38°C) it's usually quite a relief to hit the beach. This year the beach was foggy, windy, cold — a typical San Francisco Summer!
Unfortunately her husband wasn't able to join us but her friend Izzy came with to help with Amanda's three kids: Lucas, Emily, and Clara. Kat and I joined them for a picnic and some playtime in the sand, a little kite flying, and maybe a bit of wading into the ocean.
Getting the kids to stand still for a panorama was a bit more of a challenge than I was ready to tackle, so you'll find a couple of cloned kids here.
Welcome to Rodeo Beach and summer in the Bay Area!
