The original Gray's School of Art building in Schoolhill, Aberdeen, where my parents first met as young art students.

Grays's School of Science and Art was founded by John Gray in 1885 and remained at this site until 1956 when it was relocated to a purpose-built modern building at Garthdee.

Grays's School of Art is now part of the Robert Gordon University and the original art school building now houses the university's administration department.

This is also the site where David Kennedy, a previous Principal of the University, recently handed back his honourary degree in protest at the controversial granting of an honourary degree to Donald Trump. The Scottish government controversially granted Trump planning permission to build a £1 billion golf resort on the Menie Estate - a beautiful, unspoiled and unique part of Scotland.
