Hodynsky Field - a district in the northwest of Moscow.
For some centuries, Hodynsky field was repeatedly used for mass festivals.
During the coronation of Tsar Nikolay II on May 18, 1896, there was a tragedy which resulted in a crowd stampede that crushed, under official version, 1,389 people and injured 1,300 more.
Beginning in the 20th Century the aerodrome, which further has received the name the Central Aerodrome of Frunze, has been in the field constructed. Here Stalin was present on military air parades.
The last plane flew from here on July, 3rd, 2003. Now Hodynsky Field absorbs a city. There were some warplanes. Planes slowly die. Distance from the Hodynsky Field to the Kremlin of 6.5 kilometers.
