Interior of the clock tower of St Nicholas Kirk in Aberdeen or affectionately known locally as the Mither Kirk (mother church) of the city, as it has been at the heart of Aberdeen providing spiritual worship and refuge since its ancient establishment in the 12th Century.

Beneath the clock tower there is a carillon of 48 bells, the largest in the UK, which regularly chimes and can be heard across the city.
