The Old Settlers' Cemetery was the first municipal burial ground in Charlotte, North Carolina, and functioned in this capacity from 1776 until 1867. It contains the earthly remains of many of the most prominent citizens of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in the late 18th and 19th Centuries and forms the centerpiece of the Charlotte's Fourth Ward Historic District.
