The Eureka building completed in 2006 towers some 300 metres over Melbourne and is presently the world's tallest residential building. On the 88th floor is Skydeck, the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. This panorama was taken on a dark damp night from the terrace of the Skydeck. Projecting 3m out of the building 'The Edge' can be seen, a 3m glass cube which moves out of the building with you in it. I had hoped to get permission to photograph inside the cube but didn't hear back in time, which I'm possibly quite relieved about.
