This panorama was taken at true noon at Solstice, for Offenbach at 1:27 pm on June 21st 2008. At this location the maximum elevation angle of the sun is 63° in summer and only 16° in winter.

This sundial is part of the Wetterpark Offenbach. In the park are several stations like this describing several aspects of the weather. This type of sundial is not only showing the time, it is also showing the date. For my panorama the shadow is near mid June and shows around 13:30 CEST. Sommersonnenwende is the german word for Solstice. That's where the dot of the shadow is on the panorama.
