Richard C. Drew: Home is where the Roof is Behind the scene : how this panorama was made Well, I was hoping to use a local church spire or steeple, community water tower or high rooftop. Old Man liability, security concerns and passing the buck on responsibility stepped in. The end result was my old fallback – shoot at home. So up on the roof I went – for what was probably the only rain free few hours during the event time window. So here’s a look at a typical Chicagoland community. This pano was easy to shoot. Climb up on the roof, place the tripod on the chimney, and shoot. I removed the tripod from the image using Pano2QTVR to extract the cube face, then PhotoShop CS3 to touch it up. The pano is made up of four fisheye images. Return |
