This community of the near future is located a short walk from my home. Looking forward from the cab of the vehicle nearest the camera, the cleared area to the right was recently a community of hundereds of trees and other non-human living things. It will soon be a community of dozens of homes and lots of people. The lights visible thru the trees in that direction are from the softball fields of Apex Community Park. The building to the left with the flaking blue paint is the former site of a Bespak medical products injection-molding plastics facility that closed a couple years ago. In about 1 year it will be the site of Laurel Park elementary school.
