Caption
Bookcrossing is the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. There are more than 500,000 bookcrossers registered worldwide.

This book tree is an event organized by Parisian bookcrossers. The idea is to hang many books on a tree, so that passing people can pick them. More pictures are available in my flickr set. (Pictures from a previous book tree can be seen here.)
