Its not very big but really rather clever. My friends Paul & Amparo have made a fantastic haven of a garden in the middle of Bristol. It is a complete outdoor living space, Paul, Amparo, Amara and Ethan spend much of the summer 'out back' eating, partying, playing, relaxing and, of course, gardening.

As someone who finds the concept of cutting the grass bemusing, I don't have a clue how they do it. Of course, that doesn't prevent me from joining them for a fantastic barbeque or paella and enjoying their garden space!

Essential Garden Facilities: hammock, outdoor beer fridge, large covered bbq and worksurface, waterbutt, shaded area for making the most of wireless broadband, a solid outdoor dining table, nice evening lighting, grapevines with giant albino spider, composter, patio heater to extend the summer months, stereo playing an excellent mixture of world beats and jazz (Paul is a DJ and music promoter). Far better equipped than your average National Trust stately home, who could want for more (apart from a swimming pool and longer, more unruly grass)?
