Well, I didn't travel very far or wide to take this panorama - about 15 feet from home, in fact. While some people may see this as incredibly lazy (you'd be right) there was some reason behind this.

Firstly, in the past I have photographed some of the well known and very grand gardens in the city - including the Peace Gardens, the Winter Gardens and the the Botanical Gardens. It struck me from reading the event brief that while an average English garden isn't very interesting to me, it may be to someone from the other side of the world.

Secondly, we have just finished creating the garden. When we moved into the house a year ago, it was fairly overgrown and not a place to relax or enjoy. We've built a patio, steps and fences, and planted a whole array of new plants from Britain and around the world. The final additions (for now) were made just before the WWP event - so it seemed like a good idea to document it.

The cat is Kizzy, who helpfully posed while I was taking the pictures. Since she had an accident and operation, she has taken to lying on her back - a rather undignified way for a cat to sit...
