This panorama is a continuation of a journey that begun in my previous work. So, we are in the Kolomenskoye memorial estate. Now this estate is a municipal property. The entrance on the territory is free-of-charge. A very important part of any Russian estate is an orchard. Such gardens are not only practical, but also are important element of the Russian culture. The gardens represent an improved complex of agricultural land.

On this panorama included an apiary. Bees collect honey in the spring during flowering season for fruit trees, by pollinating trees they increase the fruit crop. During summer, bees produce honey from flowers. By tradition, each garden includes a plot of medicinal herbs. http://kolomensky.nm.ru/ Such plots are ancestors of modern industrial plantations of medicinal herbs.

Aside, there is an apple orchard. Just as hundreds years ago, this place is very much loved by the townspeople, especially those in love. Probably aroma of fruit trees has a beneficial influence on romantic feelings. In love novels of XIX century, the action often takes place in a garden. And a cherry orchard even became a center of a plot of the famous play by Anton Chekhov (< The Cherry Orchard>). Unfortunately, panoramas were taken on a week-day, therefore there not too many visitors in the garden. The garden seems deserted.
