Caption
The panorama opens looking out over the rapidly drying out Salt Lake towards the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque which was built to honour the aunt of the Prophet Mohammed.

Larnaca Salt Lake is an important over-wintering and stopover area for waterbirds and is particularly renowned for large the numbers of pink flamingo's who are annual visitors.

Salt has been extracted from the lake since ancient times but sadly not so now due to the close proximity of the international airport and it's access roads which effectively cut through the lake itself.
Equipment
Taken with a Kodak DX3900, digital camera, at the equivalent of 35 mm. Mounted on a tripod but without any pano-head. Stitched with Realvis Stitcher 3.1
