Kemah is on State Highway 146 and Farm Road 518 in a half-moon pocket on Galveston Bay twenty-five miles northwest of Galveston in northeastern Galveston County. The Kemah Boardwalk is a compilation of chain restaurants owned by Tilman Fertita. (Landry's, Joe's Crab Shack etc. etc.).

Over the years attractions have been added such as rides and carnival games. It's a typical tourist destination, but fun. There are many great shops and attractions nearby in the Kemah Lighthouse district.
