Vlkolinec is a village situated in the eastern part of Velka Fatra mountains (Slovak Republic). The first written mention about the village date from 1376. Vlkolinec is a collective village with two rows of wooden houses. They are altogether 45 entites included in the List of cultural monuments. At present the village is still alive but the number of permanent residents has been reduced to 34.
