This panorama shows the long-distance hiking trail "Eifelsteig" in Rott (Roetgen) near Aachen in Germany.

I shot this panorama on a walk, one day before the first day of Spring, in the afternoon after a hard working day. The Sun was shining through the branches of the trees, reflecting in the water and illumining the wooden bridge and the forest.

The "Eifelsteig" is one of the Top Trails in Germany and is more than 300 km long. It connects Aachen and Trier in 15 stages. This panorama was shot at Stage One between Aachen-Kornelimünster and Roetgen near the border of Belgium.

For more information about the Eifelsteig please visit Eifelsteig (only in German) or the official website of the Eifelsteig or the Top Trails site.

If you are visiting Germany don't forget hiking on this very nice trail.
