I had a lot of different ideas for this theme’s entry (shooting a pano inside a fridge or BBQ, shooting a party, empty farmland and the like) then settled on shooting at a local health food store, where I’ve been shopping for nearly a decade. It’s one of that vanishing breed, a Ma & Pa Storefront, that’s been in business for over 43 years (as of 2010.) They carry the typical variety of vitamins, milk alternatives, gluten-free products, etc., but also stock locally produced items, including baked goods and honeys, and will spend as much time with you as you want, giving advice, answering questions and assisting in your shopping. In this era of big-box and super-sized food stores, it’s nice to see that small businesses can still survive! So if you're ever in the Chicago area, stop by American Health Foods in Oak Lawn!
