The best way to travel through Amsterdam is by bike. One thing you should keep in mind: don’t use a brand-new bike and even with your old bike you use a very large and strong chain to fasten your bike to something solid; e.g. a lamppost or a bridge.

The carrier cycle has become very popular again and you will see them in all kinds of new designs. This panorama has been made in the ‘Jordaan,’ the oldest and, for me, the most interesting part of Amsterdam.
