Two evenings per week, immediately after the gallery closes, the teacher and students extract a blackboard, a pair of tables and chairs from the box room; then extract paper, pens and bottled inks from their bags to conduct evening classes on calligraphy. In spite of typography and computer fonts diversity, there are enthusiasts of artistic handwriting.
Looking at the young faces of the girls it's impossible to imagine when and where they will apply their skills - to fill in school registers or herbarium tags, to prepare wedding invitations or to produce calligraphic posters.
