I wanted to be creative. That weekend, no real plants were up yet; it's been too cold. Besides, everyone would think of that. A new house beginning construction? The weather's been rainy, too. A new baby born? Good idea; someone already did it. So what's another creative way of looking at a beginning? Christian Baptism came to mind. The "drowning" of the old self and the creation of the new person in Christ. An appropriate beginning. Plus, it just worked out well that Easter was the following day. Adds a little more significance to it all.
