This is Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto.

This is one of several temples built around 1200 years ago in Kyoto, and is dedicated to Senju Kannon the Goddess of Mercy.

Kiyomizu Temple is a national treasure, and it has been registered on UNESCO's World Heritage list. It is also a candidate of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

In this temple, admission at night takes place during specific terms in spring, summer, and autumn.

A searchlight that represents the mercy of Kannon is aimed at Kyoto city from the back of the temple. This light runs through the atmosphere for around 15km.
