For a bread lover, there is nothiing like the atmosphere inside a really great bakery. The smell of fresh loaves on the rack, the sight of that golden crust waiting to be torn apart, and the anticipation of its taste and texture. Fervere Bakery is just such a place.

Nestled in an uban neighborhood on the west side of Kansas City, Fervere serves the community some of the best breads anywhere in the country. Veteran commercial baker Fred Spompinato, who opened the place in 2000, brings his experience and knowledge of small artisan baking to a city that was lacking a producer of fine hand-made breads. Fred uses organic flour, natural levain and long fermentation to give his breads their unique flavour.
