Every year, from the 15th to the 19th of March, in Valencia (Spain) "fallas" come back. They are his main festivals, a special mix of art, fire, noise and much more.

One of the main events of this festival is the "mascletà", a special kind of fireworks. Now, you are in this panorama in one of them. We are inside city hall square at exactly 2 o'clock. At this time over 120kg of gunpowder is fired, it lasts for 5 minutes, reaching up to 120decibels of sound.

What are people watching so kindly in this pano? Not too much, they are listening, smelling gunpodwer, and most of all, feeling.

Only noise? Somebody thinks no!!, a "mascletà" has is own rules, his phrases, some start low, others very high, or simply plays some music with fire. But at least, never is the same.

Somebody thinks that fireworks is "el arte de dominar el fuego" (art of dominating fire). In either case, it is liked by thousands of people.

This panorama was made 17th March 2006. Fireworks company was Caballer S.A. Since 1880 his fireworks have received much national and international success. Sound included has been only for the last minute in order to conserve space and bandwidth. Enjoy it at a high volume, if you can.
