Island Fruit Stand has been in business in Waikane Valley on the windward side of Oahu since the 1970's. Richard Davis, whose family has lived in Waikane for four generations, now runs the business originally started by his father-in-law.
Richard grows and sells bananas, coconuts, mangos, avocados, star-fruit, and sour sap when in season. He also makes early morning runs to a produce wholesaler to supplement his inventory.
Customers are a mix of local residents and visitors to Hawaii. The stand is located on the highway that goes past the North Shore of Oahu which is up the coast from Waikane Valley.
