One of the most beautiful market halls in Germany. Art Nouveau style, built between 1912 and 1914, architect Martin Elsaesser. Frescos from Gref and Haebich. On 3.000 square meters daily market fresh fish, meat, spices, vegetables, fruits and flowers. Small restaurant and gallery on the first floor. Destroyed in Second World War and rebuilt 1953.
