Many of the shopping areas in Japan are enclosed streets called "Shotengai". This one is in a busy central city area of Osaka and features Pachinko Halls, restaurants, food stalls, amusement arcades, bargain stores and retail stores.

They are often very busy places with people flowing through them rapidly on their way to who-knows-where?
