The Gathering Place is one of the few local pubs in Troy, Michigan (a suburban community just north of Detroit). This particular Friday night finds four local friends hanging out and playing shuffle board during a weekend trip home from their perspective universities. Meanwhile, a number of local patrons linger to discuss the events of the evenings college basketball playoff games seen earlier on the big screen tv.
