Just off the 5 Mile and on to the riverbed. These shingle rivers flow as a rill snaking through the shingle pan but with a good long downpour of rain become raging torrents, bank to bank.

The tree fern was dislodged by such a downpour but continues to grow. The bridge in the background comes off 'Jacob's Ladder', the end (or beginning ) of the Five Mile Track.
