After attending the Panotools Meeting 2011 in Vienna, I spent a few days in the Wachau Valley along the river Danube. One of the sights of this region is the impressive Melk Abbey. The Benedictine abbey in today's baroque form was constructed in the first half of the 18th Century following plans by Jakob Prandtauer. The abbey just underwent a major restoration 1978-2000.
