The blue hour refers to the period of twilight each morning and evening when there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. Despite of the name, the blue hour lasts a few minutes: it is a special moment to shoot stunning pictures, due to the smooth blending between the blue sky and the dim artificial lights.

For this year's contribution my attention focused on a subject very close to me: my home yard. It perfectly represents the relaxed and familiar mood of the days before the solstice and the Christmas day.
