Kaaterskill Falls are the tallest twin waterfalls in New York State. That's a LOT of water AND a breathtaking view.

The hike to the bottom of the falls is well laid out and relatively easy to get to. Climbing to this upper part is more difficult and involves some steep slippery slopes. If you come prepared with good hiking shoes and are in good shape, it is well worth the effort. If you are wearing high heels, well, you probably won't even make it to the lower falls...
