This is an evening glow of Mashike-cho Shumonbetsu that became the stage of the novel Brother by Rei Nakanishi.

This beach prospered because of the herring fishing before.

In the egg laying of the herring that was called "Kuki," the sea became white.


増毛町朱文別の夕焼け
なかにし礼の小説「兄弟」の舞台、増毛町朱文別の夕焼けである。
この浜は、かつて鰊漁で栄えた。
群来と呼ばれる鰊の産卵では、海はクリーム色となった。
