A new New Year's Eve is near, so I decided to take this picture. A New Year is to me like a jump into cold water.

This place is at the Rhein-Herne-Kanal in the north of my home town Essen. Even though there is a bath nearby, a lot of youngsters prefer to swim in the channel.
