"Daruma-yu" is a public bath in Otaru.
It was opened around 1931, but closed in October, 2009.
Recently, the number of public baths in Japan decreases, because of a decrease of the customers, the rise of fuel expenses, and the deterioration of the building, etc.
Sitting at the fee counter "bandai" is proprietress Etsuko Takamura.


小樽にある銭湯「だるま湯」です。
1931年頃から営業を続けていましたが2009年10月に廃業となりました。
近年、建物の老朽化、顧客の減少、燃料費の高騰等により日本の銭湯は減少しています。
番台に座っているのが、代表の高村悦子さんです。
